Effective communication is required for continuous learning and improvement.  A couple of critical aspects of communication:

  1. Active Listening
  2. Mirroring – Reconfirming your understanding of what was said
  3. Measured outcomes with actions.
Sticking to the facts is much easier and saves time.  Asking questions will garner big results as opposed to making assumptions.  Assumptions need to be questioned and either accepted as fact or ignored.  This requires asking What and How questions which is the root of good negotiation.

Quote of the Week

Negotiations is nothing more than communication with results.

Yes is nothing without how.  We need to understand How to implement what was agreed to and measure the results.  When you peel back the layers, this stuff is very simply.  The rub, simple is not always easy.

Enjoy your week.
