Habits form in 21 days. Team execution and goal attainment are habits. The issue is things that are easy to do are also easy NOT to do.
Equature Call Recording Quote of the Week:
Sometimes it is easy not to skip when the habits are bad – smoking, drinking, watching 5 hours of TV per day. These things become addictive and kill energy over time. Skipping a couple of days of a smoking habit is no easy task. Good habits on the other hand are much easy to skip – reading, daily exercise, eating good foods etc. These habits enlighten you daily and give you more energy. When you start skipping two days in a row then it becomes easier to keep skipping days and the habit gets broken.
When starting a new goal, do the activity each day and make sure you NEVER skip for the first 21 days until it is a habit. Once you get your groove, never skip two days in a row. It is ok to have a cheat day and stuff your face if your goal is weight related but don’t do it two days in a row.
This quote is very simple but extremely effective if you follow it.
