5 Great Reasons to visit us at APCO 2014

The National APCO Conference is less than a week away and is located in New Orleans, Louisiana this year in celebration of its 80th annual conference and expo. Over 5,000 people are expected to attend, reportedly making this APCO event the largest gathering of public safety communications professionals of its kind.

We had an amazing time at the conference last year, and we know this year will be even better. Here’s a small look at what you can expect from our industry specialists this year when you stop by to see us at booth 1223.

5 Great Reasons to visit us at the show:

  1. We are experts in Next Generation 9-1-1 and Dispatch Improvement

For over 40 years, it has been our mission to provide solutions that enable intelligent decisions, improve customer productivity and provide total customer satisfaction through technology, education and people. This combination allows DSS Corporation to provide state-of-the-art solutions to our most valued resources: our customers!

Our Chief Technologist Michael Smith serves as Co-Leader of the “APCO/NENA NG9-1-1 PSAP Working Group.” They are creating a Technical Requirements Document (TRD) that defines the PSAP Functional and Interface Specifications for NG9-1-1. In addition, DSS is directly involved in NG9-1-1 standards development, testing, and educational activities.

  2. Check out Learning on Demand for Dispatcher Training

Have you seen our trailer for our Equature Learning On Demand? Tony Harrison is the Equature Learning on Demand training instructor, and has extensive knowledge and experience in not only dispatch training but the public safety field as well. Our available courses cover a multitude of different scenarios from Active shooters, and Hostage Negotiations, to Domestic Violence and Critical Incident Disaster Response: to name a few.

  3. You can expect excellence

Our Industry Specialist Jeff Vezina will be at the conference, and has been serving the public safety industry for more than 15 years. Jeff is also member of both NENA and APCO, in which many of you may recognize him from these conferences.

Industry Specialist Larry Stidham will also be attending. Larry has been working in the communications recording field for over 13 years, and was a Reserve Police Officer for his hometown department. Larry is also an active member of both APCO and NENA, and serves on the conference committee for the Indiana NENA Chapter.

  4. Designed with NG9-1-1 in mind

DSS Corporation is an American based entrepreneurial company; DSS designs, manufactures, sells, supports, and trains across the United States. Equature was specifically designed to be conformant to NG9-1-1. Our performance suite is a multifaceted hybrid solution that in a single server chassis supports analog, digital, VoIP and NG Data in the unique PSAP environments, nationwide.

All recordings, data capture, trunk lines, station side phones and IP Radios reside in one database. Equature features a variety of tools providing QA modules, statistical analysis, speech analytics and a platform to develop agency unique training modules.
